The State Advisory Council on Aging acts as a resource and research arm of the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging. Council responsibilities include reviewing and commenting on the State Plan prepared each year by the Office of Services to the Aging, making recommendations to the Commission about programs and services, and reviewing and commenting on state and federal legislation impacting the elderly.
